New Year with New Logo

Have you notice our new logo? Yes, the old one wasn’t really good and clear. So, face the problem, CHANGE!

Friend asked me to hire a graphic designer to do it, but well, I’m a designer (I know I’m a jewellery designer, not graphic) But I know myself very well. I’m a control freak. So, I do it by myself. May be my logo design isn’t very good enough. But I want to show you how did I re-design my logo. And want to tell you how much I love to design and respect my handmade job.

Many handmaders think that logo is easy to design or don’t put any effort to create it. Even some people are a designer. But, I can tell you it wasn’t easy to design like what you think.

At the beginning, I haven’t any special ideas, just think east met west, feminize, elegant and clear.

The first vision, I trend to more western style, dynamic and feminize. 

After, I showed to my best friend who has a marketing experience. She completely rejected my first vision. She said I should focus on “East mix West” style. That’s what CungYung style. I totally agree with her.

So, I started to do the research again. This time, I searched some elements about Asian style. Finally, I choose Chinese window, jade, seal and swastika to my design ideas and I took some element from my old logo.

Street Art N Busking in Melbourne

Before I came to OZ, many people bet I will like Melbourne. Now, I can say I LOVE MELBOURNE! Design, Art, Culture, Busking…. How can I don’t love this city? 

來澳洲之前很多人同我講，你一定會鍾意墨爾本。到現在我敢講，我真係愛上咗黎個地方！對於鍾意設計、文化藝術及街頭表演嘅我，這地太吸引了！

In Melbourne, not difficult to see a good quality graffiti. For a designer who don’t like to draw , I also want to try but when I saw the price of spray paint…OK! may be later….

在墨爾本嘅大街小巷，你唔難搵到有質素嘅Graffiti,對於一個唔鍾意畫畫嘅Designer黎講，都好想試一試，不過睇到支噴柒價錢就⋯⋯都係睇下就算啦！

I can’t say that Hong Kong street performers isn’t good enough, but compare with Melbourne, here have more diversified in street performance. You can see they’re playing different kind of instruments, different kind of music, and different kind of show. 

黎到嘅街頭表演好豐富，我唔敢講香港街頭表演唔好。不過，黎到街頭表演真係好多元化。見到好多無見過嘅樂器同表演方式，大開眼戒！

Even in train station, you can meet a street performer how to make fun with a little kid.  Actually, it is so simple to be happy!

就連係火車站，都會遇到去做街頭藝術嘅表演者等車時候逗小朋友開心。其實，令人開心真係可以好簡單！

Happy New Year!! First of all, sorry everyone! I didn’t update much in recently. But I wasn’t lazy. In Australia, I learned lot of different things, know more information, went different craft market or weekend market, learned more new materials. In last year, I feel so blessing !!

I’m so sorry for long time didn't post anything here. Last year, many things happened in CungYung. Hopefully I can tell everybody more soon.

The first consignment shop is in Taipa Design Shop where near by the famous street “Rua do Cunha”. There have many local designers’ products. If you travel there, don't forget come and see.

先講氹仔創意店, 如果大家有去官也街食大菜糕就會知道係邊到,因為就正正係馬路對面,大家去到食大菜糕就記得入去行下,支持下澳門本地設計.

The second consignment shop is the cartful in Venetian Resort Hotel. Don’t think there is a small place. There is a good place to let more foreigners know our products.

第二個寄買點就係威尼斯人酒店的車仔檔,雖然細細的一個地方,不過唔好睇小.這裡有不少的本地設計.

Now, you can purchase CungYung’s products in two shops in Taipa. Some special products sell in Macau only. You might think have not any consigned shop in Macau Peninsula? Don’t worry “SOON”, it is coming soon, I will let you know more detail later!
